​Microneedling
Acne scars can be treated with microneedling (collagen induction therapy). It does this by injecting small needles into the skin, and administering regulated micro-injuries. The effect of this is stimulating collagen synthesis and skin renewal.

Effectiveness: Patients using microneedling reported 31%-62% improvement in scar look versus non-microneedled patients. That’s a significant change!

Health Risks: Microneedling is considered safe for all skin types and pigmentations — even dark skin. It reaches only the dermis but no more of the epidermis.

Then there’s laser treatment, CO2 laser therapy which works on acne scars. This is a procedure using high-energy beams of light to destroy scar tissue in fine detail.
